If a modern version of Hogan's Heroes ever would appear, which actors would play what characters? I think I saw a suggestion somehwere about Michael Weatherly as Carter.

Stanely Tucci can not ever be Klink. Some actors you can just feel if they have the talent or the focus to play certain roles. I can see Tucci in many roles, but not Klink. It's like Sherlock can only be played by certain people that can get the sense of him.

So:
Klink: Christoph Waltz
Hogan: Ron Livingston
LeBeau: ?
Newkirk: ?
Kinch: ?
Carter: ?
Schultz: ?
Helga/Hilda: ?
Tiger: ?

Yeah. The more I think about it, I would want him as Kinch.
The British actors are giving me a hard time as well. There are so many of them that might fit the role, Matt Smith amongst one of them. But he doesn't really scream the perfect Newkirk for me.

I'm considering Alan Tudyk for the role of Carter, because he's the closest to being able to mimic his clumsy, sweet and slight brainless thing he's got going on. But I feel like Carter really should be played by a younger actor. Don't know who though.

And the role of Newkirk I have considered Jeremy Irvine from War Horse.

Oh, choices, choices, choices.
