Color me surprised. I can't access Facebook from work, but I can get into LiveJournal! This is a happy surprise :)
I attempted this connection from work because I've picked up an old writing project from which I'd made several posts here back in 2003. I wanted to look something up and see if I'd mentioned it yet, so attempted to access the page. Happy day, not only did it bring up the login screen, it's actually letting me read and post entries. Also, turns out, that bit I was wondering about hadn't been mentioned yet.
For anyone reading who may actually care, the project I've picked back up is the one concerning Emerald Firestorm. I actually added a bit more to the story back in 2005 and sent it in as a manuscript for the Ann Crispin Writing Workshop at Dragon Con that year. Ann called me before con and said that, while the story is good, I would need to move it out of the D&D universe and create my own world. She then asked that I send her a second manuscript of something set in my own world. She liked that one as well. Problem is, I get kinda lost once I'm past the opening. I can get the background, but it's the plot that kills me on trying to write something as big as a novel.
After yearsof pondering, I've decided to return to Emerald and try to create my own world. If any of you out there are interested, let me know here and I'll start posting bits of the story here.
