The job search has begun...
I want to thank everyone for the wishes of good luck on finding another job. I've already started the job search. Applied for 4 positions today.
If unemployment runs like it did last time, I'll have enough money to cover bills, but nothing else. Will be dropping my gym membership back to basic membership as I can't afford to pay for the extra sessions with my trainer now. Another friend, who was unemployeed for almost 2 yrs is helping me get signed up for food stamps, which it turns out I could have gotten last time I was unemployeed. Several friends have said they will make sure that the furballs and I do not starve :) I have gotten an offer from one friend of making a little extra money by doing his and his sons laundry. Talked with Jay, the guy who runs Temple Alternative Dance Night (the club I attend on Sat. nights) and he's okayed it for me to set up and vend clothing and leather goods. He's checking with the owner of the location about letting me bring in baked goods to sell. The dance night is held in what, during the day, is a rather pricey restaurant, but they do not sell food during the evenings/nights when clubs are held there. So, I'm coming up with alternative means of income to help with gas, groceries and mealworms for the furballs :)
