This week I got a very nice email from an old friend of mine:
You're a single mom doing whats best for herself and her daughter and
I admire that more than you can know. But if you ever worry about meeting
mr. or mrs. (it is the 2000's) right in your life, I wouldn't. Your
incredibly intelligent, your very devoted to your daughter and very
responsible with your finances and well unlike most people I know you only
get more bueatifull with age. I was attracted to you personally during
college but pretty much sean and I agree your are incredibly attractive now
:)
It's like a reference letter for dating, but it's not like you ever have a chance to give references to cute guys you see. And why not, I mean I'd love to know what I'm getting into when I start dating someone. All the good and the bad. It definitely gets harder the older you get to meet people. And I have great single male friends, I wish I could find them great girls, they all deserve a happy relationship.
I know friendster and Myspace sre supposed to make great strides in meeting people through friends of a friend, but it doesn't work the same as meeting people in person.
So I'm going to try squish down thoughts of dating anyone as long as I can and deal with people not wanting to date me. Be the cool friend that I always am and help them losing myself in the process until I dwell on this again later.
