I really enjoyed this.

It's kind of neat really, your vision of Ernie fits so well with the one I have built for him as well. I know we don't actually know him very well from what JKR has given us, but this just seems to fit him so well.

That was lovely. A really enjoyable look inside the head (and heart) of a minor character. I particularly enjoyed Umbridge's lesson!

That was quite a nice read! This is very much the Ernest :) of the books, but you've given him an excellent measure of substance so that he can stand very well on his own (Hufflepuff love!). Nice work!

*grins* That was sweet, and made me feel all good and warm inside!

A bit of criticism: the beginning seemed kind of chunky, like you weren't sure exactly where the story was going; however, when it finally figured out exactly what the conflict would be, it was much smoother.
