Apr 23, 2011 20:52

So tonight was the first time I've actually been in the UK during a Doctor Who transmission so as you can imagine I was SUPER excited!!!

I headed down to south London to ladyvivien's house for the occassion and after walking through the rain to get to her house (thank you for that Steven Moffat!***) we made a quick dinner and some tea and settled down to ( Read more... )

Silly, silly. That's why it's under a cut. *sigh* I hope you're able to find it on itunes. It was a good episode. Enjoy!

Hi love, its me, tardismate :-)
Guess you loved it then! Yeah, me too. And it's definitely Moffats fault it rained. He's God, don't you know? ;-P. Keeping my opinions (;-)) to myself for now...you know why :-) Just have to add that the score for this episode is quite possibly one of Mury Gold's best...emotive and beautiful, as always :-) Bring on next week!

Hi you! :)

I really enjoyed it. It's such a relief to be liking my favorite show again. So much of last year was just "meh" for me. The music was definitely brilliant. I'd like to watch it again and really take it in - I was paying a bit too much attention to the action the first time. (I was too distracted with OMGWTFTHEDOCTORDIED?!?!?!

I shall work on dragging those opinions from you... by other means... *g*.

Ha, Moffat made it rain and no one can convince me otherwise. I actually laughed when I came out of the tube station and saw it. Glad it stopped. I'm hoping the sun is back tomorrow. I was jetlagged so didn't get to enjoy it properly today.

I think the baby and the girl in the space suit are tied together somehow. But then, I'm all odd and have trouble believing pregnancies in Sci-Fis are "real" pregnancies... aliens so often cause pregnancies in weird ways! hahaha.

I really loved Rory in this episode. But then, I just love Rory. I figured the old man just had the can of gas cause the Doctor left a note about it in his invitation. Couldn't sort out if we'd "met" him yet though in 1969 - cause I'm assuming that we will based on what he said when he left.

I do not, for a second, believe the Doctor's actually dead. I think the gas and burning him somehow does something... Also know that the Doctor obviously knows what is going to happen to him there, so I'm thinking Amy spills the beans at some point. My theory is that he was giving his energy to the space suit girl to save her somehow.

I thought that too about the baby, but then moffat said something about the pregnancy being key to everything this season so now I think it must be something bigger than that!

Rory was great! I adore him so much!!

The FBI guy from later in the episode is the same person as the old guy with the gas can. Evidently he's played by the younger guys real father which I think is pretty cool!

Oops - sent too soon! I like your theory about the burning doing something. I really hope you're right. I'm not ready for the doctors true death

Plus, when the Doctor first met River Song, she mentioned how young he is. I think the Doctor's gotta have a FEW more regenerations than just one after Ten, because it's much more telling of his age by which Doctor he is.. more so than his actual age.

I missed the FBI guy's name! Was thinking it, but obviously missed it!

Hee! I'm pleased you enjoyed your first live Doctor Who. I've only heard from one person who didn't like it so it seems that we have lots of happy campers :D

I also think it was River Song in the space suit, it would seem too coincidential to have the exact same suit & River Song in both scenes etc etc And he obviously knew who it was because he told them as much. I wonder how much is going to be resolved in part 2 and how much of it we'll have to wait all season for?

Squee!
