Day 13 - Favorite childhood show
Full House
Oh yes, I was a true child of the 80's and early 90's. I was so in love with Full House that it's almost comical. I would literally rush home from school every day to watch it in reruns every day (followed by Saved by the Bell which I also adored. And as I got older, I'd duke it out with my mum and beg to watch new episodes live at 8 during Hockey Playoff season. Believe me, that was not an easy sell, and it was a battle I lost more often than I won.
I'm not entirely sure what I liked about it so much. I think maybe it was the whole family vibe that drew me to it, especially the fact that there were three sisters. I was an only child at that point and I'd always wanted siblings so that was also a huge draw. Also, I enjoyed the characters and the family drama, and the emotion (all traits I still like in my tv shows so I guess I haven't changed that much). Plus, I admit I had a teeny bit of a crush on Uncle Jesse. It's funny looking back though because I've watched it a bit in reruns since then and I don't have nearly the same connection to it now that I did as a child. I guess I grew up, but there's still something about it that is endearing, particularly the early episodes.
