but...but...but the doctor is gone in the right universe, well not gone, just *her* doctor is gone!

Awwwww *hugs* I'm so sorry. Believe me, it nearly killed me to write this -
I was an absolute wreck for days afterward and I knew this was coming before I ever wrote a word of this story. Rose and TenII's story was always going to end tragically because in my head, he was always human and she was not... the reverse of her and Ten in Canon.

This story has a sequel though, so even beyond the final chapter, there is MUCH more to come and I promise, in the end, everything will be all right.

*hands you tissues*

*offers hugs* I'm so sorry for upsetting you so...

Well, my guess about what comes next was completely wrong. But this is a wonderful, emotional, heartbreaking chapter. You know how to keep us hooked.

Poor Viola, and Rose.

I know! I will reply to your PM now that you know. I feel horrible that everyone had such faith that it would be okay and yet I knew there was no way I could "fix" it. Not in this case. It was always meant to be tragic... (think back to Shakespeare's comparison to Romeo and Juliet - that was very, very deliberate...) But think of the positives - she had a long, wonderful, full life with TenII (I kept it vague on purpose, but they've been together for about 20 years) and I will be telling more stories about the inbetween bits of their life together.

I'm glad that you thought this chapter was wonderful. Truthfully, as much as it breaks my heart, it's one of my personal favourites - it's also the one I was most nervous about posting.

I promise that Viola and Rose will be all right.

I'll take those tissues please. This was all so sad, but very nicely written.
