This chapter is one of my favorites. It has so many wonderful things going on, and is happyhappyhappy!!

'"Right. You're already married." He frowned. "Wait, if it's not for you, who are you having a wedding for? Tony is a little young isn't he?"'

*Sporfle* Ten can be rather dense at times, hmmm?

"He stared at her, transfixed, no longer caring that Jackie had somehow managed to orchestrate this elaborate ceremony for them without either prior knowledge or permission."

Ohhh, that's so sweet! And I'm amazed that Jackie not only managed to keep the whole thing a secret from both Rose and the Doctor, but that neither of them was upset with her! However, as the Doctor rightly said, '"...it made your mother happy, which I much prefer to when she's yelling at me, or slapping me."'

The ancient Irish hand-fasting ceremony was very interesting. Did Jackie want to be doubly sure they stayed married?

I actually teared up as I read what the Doctor said instead of the traditional wedding vow. It basically covered Rose's time with Nine as well as Ten, and showed the depth of the Doctor's feelings for her. It was beautifully written! (But, did either of them actually get in the "I do" part?)

The gift of a beautiful nursery from the TARDIS was so lovely. And what an incredible honeymoon Rose and the Doctor are going to have, in "...unknown places, far, far, away."

I would normally beg for the next chapter to be posted, but since I KNOW what comes next (snicker; I LOVE this!), I'll just wait and read everyone else's comments begging you to post soon!

*Happy Hugs*

Wiggie! :D

It is a rather loaded chapter, isn't it?

*Sporfle* Ten can be rather dense at times, hmmm? LOL Endearingly so! :)

Ohhh, that's so sweet! And I'm amazed that Jackie not only managed to keep the whole thing a secret from both Rose and the Doctor, but that neither of them was upset with her! Jackie has her ways. :) Both of them realized that it wasn't worth getting upset over. They love each other and they were okay with showing it, they just didn't NEED to. So in the end, the wedding was more about them just reaffirming to each other how much they loved each other. Which really, when it comes down to it, is what weddings are about anyway.

The ancient Irish hand-fasting ceremony was very interesting. Did Jackie want to be doubly sure they stayed married?
In my head, the Doctor is fascinated by human traditions and ceremonies of all kinds and has particular respect for the Celts. So I envision that at some point, he and Jackie had discussed traditions and she realized that this is something he would appreciate even though it isn't necessary. In fact, I think to him, it would make it more meaningful.

The Doctor's wedding vows are probably one of my favourite things that I have ever written. I wanted to show clearly that he loved her not just as he was now, but in his prior regenerations too. That this is a continuation of the relationship that has been building between them since they first met when he was Nine. It's another example of how I treat TenII as simply another regeneration of the Doctor. He IS the Doctor.

(But, did either of them actually get in the "I do" part?)

Yes! It just happens "off camera" is all. I didn't want to drag it out by describing every detail of the ceremony, and it was the vows that were the most important to me.

I love this TARDIS. She adores her people and is willing to spoil them rotten. The nursery, and in particular the ceiling is something I fell in love with the instant the idea came to my mind.

Oh yes. Their honeymoon will be a trip of a lifetime, that's pretty much a given!

LOLOL you are MILKING this knowing what's coming stuff. LOL So far there hasn't been much begging.. LOL

*hugs back*

THANK YOU for all the kind comments.
