Is this your first Yuletide? Even if it isn't, awesome that you're doing it! *high fives* It's my very first Yuletide! I'm looking forward to seeing what you're requesting :D

It *is* my first Yuletide! *high fives back*

I'm very nervous about it and have been angsting over my registration for the past few hours - still have not submitted it. I am probably over-thinking it but I keep questioning my prompts - are they clear enough? too specific? too vague? It's nerve wracking. This was after over an hour of trying to narrow down to 3 fandoms. Who knew this was so hard!

Well, you can also request up to four fandoms. I needed the fourth. LOL. :) I offered several more than that, though.

Also, the thing about the prompts, that I'm trying not to freak out about, is that "optional details are optional". If they don't like it, they don't have to write it... I mean, obviously we want them to, but my letter was so rambly and like... I LOVE THIS AND IT'S ALL RAINBOWS AND BUTTERFLIES AND HAPPINESS but if you write this I will also love it, or this, or this. LOL.

Yeah I picked the ones I most wanted to read something from in the end.

Yeah I noticed that but the fandoms I picked are all ones where I either really don't have a specific ship in it but I adore the setting/premise a lot or where the ship is pretty much the reason people watch the show so I'm not so concerned about ending up with something I'd hate. I'm also trying to do a bit of I love this, or this, or even this to give a broad spectrum of ideas. Hopefully it works. I think when I do the actual letter it'll be a bit easier. I don't know though.

Have you written your dear author letter yet?

I have written mine... oh gosh, it's the worst. LOL. The thing with my Yuletide requests are that I pretty much aired my dirty little secrets regarding my guilty pleasures. It's here if you want to look, since I know you won't judge me! :P

Good luck with your letter. :D I'm looking forward to reading it; I love seeing what my friends are hoping for!

Oooh thank you! I think I've finally got my request on A03 to a point that I'm happy with. I might wait another day to write my letter so I can really get my thoughts together.

I'm glad you're doing this for the first time also, seems less crazy. I can't believe I decided to do this on a whim - whilst in the middle of doing Nano... I'm probably insane... EEP!

LOL! I figured if I gave my crazy ideal prompt, and then gave what I'd also be thrilled with, I would come across less as "Jeez, how demanding is SHE?" and more, "LOL wow, she's thought about this one for awhile!" :)

Hee! Thanks! I guess I have to link this to that post on yuletide too right? I'm a bit bewildered by all the info.

Thanks! I'm going to hunker down and write until my flatmate comes back with a NEW KITTEN! Very exciting!

From what I understand, linking it to the community gives people access to the letter to write treats for you. Now, my understanding of this is limited, but apparently some people are awesome and write extra things for you, even though they didn't receive your assignment :)

AND I SAW THE KITTEN ON TWITTER. PRECIOUS.

ahhh I see. Okay well I shall post the link and see what happens. That is pretty awesome.

HEE! Do you mean the orange cat I often post pictures of? He's very adorable, but he's the existing kitty (he's 3) his mum is collecting his new sister as we speak. She's tiny and black and white... I should RT the picture my flatmate tweeted earlier!

Hee, actually, I'm friends with her on Twitter (and LJ? Yeah, just checked, friends on LJ.) But apparently Twitter unfollowed you. Twitter has unfollowed like ten people I regularly check tweets of lately, so... yeah. I'm not surprised. :) Requesting you back.

DUH! LOL I completely forgot that you know Jenn... My world is so confusing sometimes!!! Twitter has done that to me in the past also! Silly Twitter. I'm unlocked right now (due to nano) so you should be able to follow me without me authorizing. I should still be following you unless twitter did something to my list also
