I wrote out a lovely, detailed post the other night right after I watched the episode, but LJ managed to eat it and it was far too late to restart then. So now I've just rewatched the episode and I thought I'd share my thoughts now.

Reaction to 'Let's Kill Hitler' (Warning: Spoilers) )
Oh, definitely! In fact I'm going to be sad whenever she's not in an ep now, lol! I WANT HER 24/7. FULL TIME COMPANION NOW Y/Y??? (<---I do expect this at some point, otherwise how well they know each other wouldn't make any sense.) Yes I want to see her ALWAYS! Although I am sadly aware that she will probably not be in at least the next few - reestablish the non=linear time line and add to the mystery and all that. *sigh*. I agree though I want her to be a companion full time! I've heard some rumors that Amy and Rory may leave next season ( :( ) so maybe River will be FULL TIME companion then? *hopes*
Oh LOL I love the point he was caught off guard and didn't know what to do with her. I think that's perfectly it, his expressions the entire time and how shell-shocked he was at first attest to this! She was sooooooooooo different than what he was used to, lol. Yeah exactly. I love it when the Doctor is thrown off guard - that is one of my favourite situations to see him in. It's always so comical!
IDK but it being Melody seems TOO obvious to me and they wouldn't bother to make it a question, and why the Doctor said "I know it's you" and all that. And how did she get there in modern times, and why was in a lake? And I just, ALDKJFLWJRE. It makes no sense! So yeah I'm not so quick to believe it... I'm not saying it's not possible but I make a :/ face at it, lol. LOLOLOL there are still SO many questions! Answer them fast Moffat - enquiring minds WANT TO KNOW!!!!
Hmm, true, but it'd have to be more of like an avatar type ganger like Amy had, 'cause I can't see the Doctor willingly killing himself/letting himself die, for all intents and purposes, for a second time. I was surprised enough at the first time!
Good point. It's not likely he would do that unless he had to.
awwww *pets* I'm sorry you don't get to watch it right away. I have to wait that night as well.
OMG thought just came to me - if River saved the Doctor by using up the rest of her Regenerations, does that mean the Doctor now has more than 13 regenerations? Like did they transfer to him or did it just take that much energy for her to "heal" him?

Totally! And Matt does it so well, hee! He really does!
Aaaaah seriously! But then the season will be over. I'm not ready for that! We just got it back! AAAHHHH. *cries*
AHHH yes I know! I'm so torn! I wanna know but I don't want it to end!?!?!? Why can't DW be on the air EVERY SATURDAY!
Well, in that SJA episode, one of the kids asked him how many times a Time Lord can do that, he said some ridiculous amount, like 213 or something like that. So it's kind of been established now that the Doctor has more than 13. ;) But that's a question I wondered myself, though in the end it won't make a lot of difference for the Doctor, it did for River though. :( And I don't think it required that much energy to heal him, she just overdid it. Or maybe it did, since him regenerating wouldn't have saved him from the poison? IDK but the vibe I got from the hospital scene was that she just did too much, more than was necessary. Hmmm I don't remember that but huh. Okay so confirmation that there's more than 13 lives, that's good. It's sad that she had to give up all her regenerations to save him though. I think you're right though that she over did it - probably from inexperience/lack of control.
(Note: I would rather love it if you wrote a ficlet about that. I whole heartedly encourage you to do this!)

Seriously, and I'm really Not Happy about all this talk of there possibly not being a full season or another split season next year. I'd prefer a split season, rather than less, but like...WHY??? WHAT IS GOING OOOOOOOOOON. Why is this necessary!!! ALKDJF:LDSKRJWOEIRU.
UGH! I know! *shakes fist at BBC* Why are you messing with my DW schedule? WHY! Don't you know those 13 weeks are SACRED!!!!!!?!?!?!?!!
At the very least you could give us Sherlock as soon as DW is over. That would slightly soften the wound...
Hmm could be, but she seemed to have some pretty stinking good control over it throughout the ep. I'm thinking it might've just been her zeal/passion/over eagerness and it just bled out like that. But either way, yeah, the sense I got was just that she overdid it. xD
That's true. She was also very emotional in that moment so maybe that also affected it!
Haha, I might! Been thinking about it. I have that and another Eleven/River fic idea bouncing around in mah brain...
ANY Eleven/River fic would make me BOUNCABLY happy!... *g*

I think the BBC likes messing with our heads. It's the only explanation for how ridiculous they're being about this. Why do they have to split it up? WHY?
HURRAH! I saw that you posted fic actually. Sadly it's late here and I'm falling asleep even just typing this so I think I shall have to save it for a treat for tomorrow! I want to be properly alert for it!
