Fallout3 - main quest length
I ran through Fallout3 again, just to see how long it took me to complete the main quest alone (ignoring all sidequests, just the main storyline).
End result: 3 hours 50 minutes.
Also, 41 minutes of that was the UNSKIPPABLE introductory/tutorial sequence. Yes, let me repeat that, you have an UNSKIPPABLE 40 minutes of boredom that you have to repeat every time you want to create a new character. It's dull. Very dull. I was bored the *first* time I played through it, let alone the second or third.
41/230 = approximately 18% of the game is the intro. Lovely.
And, as another note, the only things that affect the ending cinematic are your choices at the end of the game, and your karma level. It doesn't say what happened to all the individual characters or locations. Piffle. I thought Bethesda said there were going to be lots of endings, but there's only... *calculates* twelve. A far cry from the original Fallout.
