a while back, ian told me to read Ishmael by Daniel Quinn. i bought it last sunday.
i dont read books generally. there are other things that usually consume my time. the only time i will pick up a book that a teacher didnt tell me to read is when it comes personally recommended by a friend with similar interests as myself.
i have never ever read a book like Ishmael before.
this is the greatest book i have ever had the privelidge of reading.
i read it in 3 days; but would have preferred to have read it in one sitting.
i have never missed one word on the page by accident, and then re-read the whole previous paragraph to make sure i got everything.
i have never stopped and shook my head and said 'holy shit' in the middle of a page.
i have never put reading a book over another activity that is usually more favorable.
i have never said that i couldnt wait to re-read the book again.
i cant stress enough to every single one of you, how much you should read this book.
im not fucking around here, i am so serious right now. i joke around a lot on this journal of mine, but if this is the only serious post i do, i am glad it is for this reason. please please please read this book for your own good, and for the good of everyone else you will most definately recommend it to.
i cant tell you what the book is about for the same reason ian couldnt tell me what the book was about. you will understand.
by the time you get to page 10, you will already be so captivated by the book, it is scary.
thank you ian.
now.
