Family Ties

So it's Thursday today. If Tashid is a man of his word he'll be calling me today about arranging a trial period working for him. If not, I'll begin jobhunting in earnest come the 21st. I also learned that he apparently kept Linda around (a woman who has worked morning shift every day but Sunday and whom also does the books).

My mom is the main reason I was able to get the job I had for almost 3 years. And sadly because of the way she's lived her life, that woman is now without anywhere to go. I received a call from her apartment complex yesterday. They informed me that they were going to evict Lynn because she hadn't paid the rent for 3 months, assuring them she'd be able to pay it back once she qualified for disability (obviously she could never get it established). Everything I didn't "claim" yesterday is now out in the open for anyone to take.

As for where she's currently residing, she was taken to Southern Regional Medical Center but may have been transferred to Riverwood (a mental health facility behind SRMC). She confessed to the office that she wasn't feeling right in her mind so they called an ambulance to take her.

Yesterday I went down to the complex with nana and grabbed the handmade cedar chest my great grandmother bought for Lynn when she turned 13, Lynn's confirmedly "bricked" laptop, a quilt that turns out was also made by my great grandmother, a really nice pillow I'd sleep with over at Lynn's. Lastly, a chainmail-style belt and a pair of pans that I'm aware were good and sturdy. Needless to say there are lots of old/baby pictures including my baby book, maybe my sister's as well). I haven't even gone through all the material in the cedar chest, but I'm aware there's a lot of old memories.

memories, job hunting, work
