Things are looking up!

Well the Christmas Party at Tiger's was great except Donovan didn't show so I've still got to find a time when I can give him my SC2 art book. I handed Yamato and Shadow their Christmas present (and realized later I forgot to strip off the price tag gomen ne. I showed off my Bud Christ Mii and there were a lot of people there I didn't expect (enough to have warranted bringing Clerks 2 if I had that in mind). Things eventually wound down and after trying out Excitetruck (it's okay), Edgardo and I headed off, this time I'd brought my work shirt with me so I just had him drop me off at work.

Work was hell near the end of the day, I had some Mexicans show up around 1:30 (and they were still there when my mom showed up to start closing shift around 2:40) to go round after round of buying scratch-off lottery tickets and buying new ones. Now that's pretty easy and not much of a hassle on the surface, but EVERY time they win something, even if it's just the amount of money the ticket costs I have to print out a payout ticket. I must've done that about 30 or 40 times. I'm just thankful they had the sense to bring a guy with them who spoke capable English. It took around 12:30 to rack up 50 total customers.

In about nine hours I'll be having that annual lunch with my dad we always have around my birthday (though last year it didn't happen until the start of this year due to scheduling issues--and trying to avoid him). I'm really hoping things will be different this year. I mean I actually have a job that I don't completely hate and I can honestly say I've been happier this year than I have in a while. I'm dreading him bringing up my living situation but I'll just tell him that I'm saving up for something to drive and plan on looking for another job at the start of next year (I started work on the first day of October, so obviously after December is over I'll have worked for 3 months), maybe the Circuit City (or maybe it's an OfficeMax, I forget which) that'll be opening up soon. I'd like to have the lunch at Golden Corral, but if he doesn't feel like that I'm interested in checking out the Zaxby's around here that opened up a few months back.

Beyond that, I'm planning on getting a haircut and mailing my half of my D&D Miniatures trade either today or tomorrow. Christmas is looking great, as soon as Zack gets his car tag he'll be set to drive over here (although the day he arrives is still up in the air) and Zhorah should be coming for the day.

I know you read this Edgardo, so since you're going to be involved with something on Christmas, how do you feel about coming by on Christmas Eve after I get off work and hanging out for a few hours? You could bring Tokugawa and we could try out what I was discussing on the ride to work

And, oh yeah, I'm 25 now.
