A clusterfutched debacle
What seemed like a modest proposed plan to celebrate the start of my 29th year wound up leaving me brooding and sullen, though that might be from being up for over 27 hours.
The Good: Seeing multiple batches of friends at once. Some good Japanese food. Finally having a copy of CoH and prepped for 1/3rd of a year for free. Finally getting to watch Scott Pilgrim as well as the relatively short Superman/Shazam vs Black Adam. Seeing the look on my friends' faces when they see what I got them for Christmas. Checking out Gun X Sword ep 1 for free, looks like a great series.
The Bad/Lacking: A less than stellar experience at the restaurant where none of the staff knew Japanese, the chef lost the grip on his fork during the knife show in the beginning as well as botching the juggle+spin bit with the egg (3 times), and the waitress dropped a saucer of soy sauce splattering over Edgardo's coat. No movie at the AMC because of timing issues (two people needed to work, that's fine) after the Japanese. One friend shooting down any declaration that I can appreciate both genders; calling me 'greedy." No liquor (or money for it) for late night Apples to Apples. Being short on funds from misunderstanding Acrux's "guaranteed 4 hours policy" to really cut loose. With the cap of the night being the discovery of a nuisomely-sized torn hole in the center seat of one of my best pairs of pants.

1. I love languages, be they artificial or natural.
2. I am the resident D&D rulebook for the sydlexia forums.
3. I'm a furry, albeit a relatively inactive one.
4. I'm a writer.
5. I have an inordinate amount of Touhou content on my youtube favorites.
6. I think I play video games less often than I have in a long time.
7. I rarely get comments when I post on lj.
8. I collect figurines of anime/game females.
9. When I do play my game systems, lately it's just been my DSi.
