Moving issues

My feet are killing me. I present a summary of yesterday and today:

Monday
* Get a call from Matt around 1:30 p.m. waking me up. I get my non-essential stuff ready and boxed and he pulls up roughly an hour later. Before we set out, we kicked back watching some tv; the tail end of the Danny Phantom movie where he fights his evil all-ghost future self and then an ep of Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations in Saudi Arabia (figured he'd get a kick out of it having actually been there) while he enjoyed the plate of Masonic BBQ I had saved for him. We put the stuff on the truck, with me as navigator looking over the directions with his Blackberry.
The first stop on our tour was a weight in station waaay around Macon. But it was closed by the time we got there (wound up driving past it and back before we realized it was the place on a second pass). Then we were to meet Matt's sister and her husband since they wanted the fridge we had on the truck as extra weight (if the truck weighed a certain amount from cargo, Matt would get reimbursed for travel expenses and then some), that took a while but in the exchange he'd forgotten to ask for the house keys.
Eventually Matt asks if I'd mind staying over at his parents' place for the night since it was a lot closer to the weigh station than Jonesboro or Forest Park. I agreed and we eventually made it to High Falls which is sort of out in the boonies. While we were there we picked up some of Matt's stuff, including his weight set and some tables and chairs. The night wound down and I went to bed after watching Percy Jackson; Matt hadn't seen it. We wound up talking late into the morning--even got him to start a country on nationstates. I think I crashed around 3-4 a.m.

Tuesday
Matt's blackberry alarmed off at 7 a.m. After having breakfast and loading up his armory (a double flail, scimitar, short sword, skihn dubh, dagger, sai, broadsword, curved sword, sai, and several other instruments of melee massacre) we set off for the weigh station where we more than made quota (although not the ton plus he was hoping for). We headed off to our house to unload the truck. That took a while, ending with Matt deciding to heft an old school "thick screen" TV onto his back like a backpack with me guiding it to make sure it didn't smash off to the side--if it weren't for the half steps into the door he would have made it. We wound up sliding the tv into the living room and rested for a while.
During the tail end of all this moving, Ga Power came by and turned on the meter. I suggested we head back to my place to take a hot shower and change clothes and Matt agreed. However, we found out his brother did one hell of a job chaining his California car (A Probe) to the hitched wheels so it could be towed around (not legal in Georgia yet) when he tried to drive off it and it was stuck. Eventually we liberated it and took off for the house.
After a nice hot shower and rehydrating, we had a little to eat and Matt started making calls to the utilities people (we'll have gas on the 13th and power/electric as early as tomorrow). We took off to get the emissions paperwork for the car (if a car can pass that in Cali, it ought to in any other state) without a problem. But after that, we headed to the water company to set up water and found out Matt will need to get a lease or something equivalent from his parents. THEN we went by the tag office and find out he can't get a tag for the car because he doesn't have a Georgia license. THEN,/i> he realises he only has one form of ID on him. As frustrated and pissed as he was, we made it to the house where he grabbed his portfolio and I asked him to drop me off at my grandparents' place. Fast forward to the present where I figure the stuff he needed to do was by himself and we'll worry about unpacking and stuff tomorrow, as well as settling his license issues.
