Apoplectically Stultifying
So there're enough things on my mind now I figure I'm fit to post.
* I've found myself falling out of sync with time; and I suppose, with my friends and activities as well. The usual things I'd do online like Facebook, the Fraternity of Shadows, Starfleet Command--I haven't touched any of them nearly as often as I used to. I'm double checking my cel more to see what day it is more than I have in the past.
* Things are getting murky and jumbled:
--Arranging to take pictures of my zocchihedron so this guy can be convinced to buy it from me for $14.
--Getting around to buying a protective slip for a DVD.
--Shipping some stuff.
--At some point going to a "gold broker" about my class ring and a chain bracelet.
--Leveling up my driving enough to get my driver's before October
--Boxing up my stuff
--Cleaning out and boxing up the rest of this house
--Working on my Forum Tag Team Battle with Nekkoru
--Possibly dropping out of the play-by-post adventure on the Fraternity of Shadows.
* An old, old friend of mine (talking middle school days here) has ended his service with the Marines and is moving back into the old neighborhood in Forest Park while he studies for a BA in Business Management over the next 20 months (starting next month). He told me "I'm moving into my parents' old place. It's got 3 bedrooms and I'd be by myself."
The Pros:
# I wouldn't hear extended coughing/hacking on a daily basis from 2-3 different people.
# I'd be staying with someone close to my age.
# I'd be closer to a better hiring pool than up in the mountains.
# I'd be a LOT closer to most of my friends than up in the mountains.
The Cons:
# I can't exactly cover any kind of rent right now.
# No pets.
# I know him enough that if he knew I appreciated men, I'd probably be dead.
# I'd be away from family for the first time.
* On a brighter note, I'm going to be an uncle. My sister is around 6 weeks along and is expecting to deliver around February. I'm hoping she'll de-ice and let her child know s/he has an uncle. I'm also reconsidering letting Sara have the motorcycle, she could have some extra cash to raise the child. However, it's looking like Ashley will have his shot at a warehouse gig paying $11/hour.
