Finding Billy

I made the motion at Council that I needed to find Billy as he had had an interaction with El. Because of El's status and Billy's past it was agreed to send out the hunters.

Lord Gabriel wasn't pleased, but he voted for him to be found and brought in. Lord Kenta, of course, felt the need to remind Council that Billy was a make of Lord Gabriel's; one he was not especially proud of. Before too many words were exchanged I stood up and told them that there was a chance Billy might be around more and if Kenta insisted on continuing this line of talk I was going to put in a motion for Dan to stake him. All Council members raised their hands in agreement, all but Kenta.

Meeting with Dan after the meeting I told him what had happened and why I wanted to speak with Billy. He wasn't pleased and thought we should be bringing Billy in for trail on attempted murder of Devon. I smiled and told him that at the time Devon was not an angel. He baulked, but I asked him, for El, to please to this. Growling and mumbling he put together a Hunting team and they were off.

I was surprised when I heard from them only a few hours later. Seems Billy was not in hiding at all, just simply lying low. Waiting in one of the interrogating room, I'm not taking any chances; I can hear his thick accent before they even get in the room. He is hollering he's done nothing wrong and why won't they tell him why he has been brought here. Then they open the door. He looks at me, sighs then hangs his head.

Motioning for the angels to leave him with me they leave, locking the door and enabling the charms. He sits and says, "Ah've doon nothin' wrong Rhys."

My eyebrows shoot up that he called me by my first name. It's always Meyers. I sit in the chair opposite him and lean against the desk. "I know Billy, well nothing officially wrong. But you did upset El and in my book that is wrong."

His head shoots up and he looks at me, "Ah did naw mean te upset him! Ah onleh wanted te check on Orleh."

I take in his face. He looks the same as he did in High School. Maybe his eyes look a bit more tired, but it would be easy to see him and remember old Billy. I suppose that is part of El's issues. "Listen Billy, El still loves you."

The look on his face is one of terror. I can't stop myself from laughing! His eyes begin to dart around as if he is a caged animal. Shaking my head I hold up my hand, "Calm down. I didn't have you brought here so I could be sent to the dungeon. I've made my peace with the fact that he loves you. He loves Orlando - hell he loves alot of people. I've learned, and accepted, that when El loves he never stops loving. It's one of the reason I love him so much."

He still looks leery and I sit back, "What you did for Orlando - thank you. I hope you made Ben piss in his pants."

A smile slowly forms on his lips and he shakes his head no, "Naw, he shite them."

We both laugh and I pull out my smoke offering him one. He accepts and I light two giving him one. "Now, El told me exactly what you said about him being unhappy and knowing only I could make him happy," I eye him for a moment, "that lead singer for Titan didn't have an accident did he? And I know for a fact that publicist did not have my cell number. You did all that - didn't you?"
