Not What I Had In Mind

As I slip into the nursery it's still odd not being seen when I'm right next to some one. But this has been my assignment for a few weeks now. Not that I've found much. A few demons, but no angels. Just a shit load of screaming mimi babies.

I am sitting out on the ledge with Edward and Christian keeping a look out when Edward turns to me and tells me to go check on the others. He senses something is wrong. Should have known this one wouldn't go as smoothly. We've already hit one hospital a couple of minutes ago. But that was us three, slipped in and slipped out unnoticed and now with our thirst slaked it was their turn.

I climb down the wall and slip through the window to be confronted by Alexis picking himself up off the floor as Daniel and Raphi take on quite a young looking Angel. Blades for feathers and he is quite good at using them. How interesting. I watch as Alexis stands and with speed darts around the Angel. Then as he is completely occupied fighting off the three of them I climb across the ceiling till I am above the Angel and pull out my Wakizashi ready to put a stop to this.

Silently I drop down as Raphi attacks and draws his attention. When my feet touch the floor behind the Angel with lightning speed I thrust my blade through with absolute perfect accuracy impaling him through the heart.

The pain brings me to my knees and my wings soften but I still manage to hit my assailant enough for him to fall back his blade pulling from my chest. I fall forward unable to breath trying to remember how and who to call for help.

Everything is fuzzy and all I can hear is sinister laughter before I close my eyes losing consciousness.

When the Angel knocks Jack he does one of his flips and lands back up on the ceiling with his sword ready for another attack. Except he doesn't need to as the Angel drops to his knees then keels over. I look over at Daniel. "We need a new toy don't we?"

He chuckles then walks over kneeling down at the Angels head. Swiftly he grabs him by the hair and slams his head hard enough to put a crack in the floor under it as the Angels blood leaks onto he tiles.. Alexis comments that he was already unconscious and Daniel comes back that he is just making sure. We don't want him waking up on the trip home. Those wings of his are damn deadly.

I look around before instructing Alexis to carry the Angel. "Time to move boys before we have more company like him."

I sit up straight and look at Dan. "Something is wrong... Pepsi."

Closing my eyes I see blood, daggers, young death... vampires!

I stand my wings in full form. Opening my eyes I can see he senses it too. His large wings spread ready for flight. Killing Michael was not enough - now they are killing the human young.

I sense it as well. It has barely been any hour since Gaspard dropped Michael's body at our feet and already he has started his war. I don't wait to instruct Andrew I fly out and head for where I sense death. He follows behind me. It leads us to a hospital. I scan the building looking for any sign of demons and don't see any. "We are too late." Still we have to go down and see if we can find out anything.

As we fly down and land on the roof I see a flash of black out of the corner of my eye. I turn to face it and nothing is there then suddenly I feel a sharp sting in my other side. I spin and throw my arm out sending a power jolt to whoever it was that attacked me but am met with thin air. I look in confusion over at Andrew and he is standing there looking just as baffled with a few of his feathers floating, cut from his wings, to the ground.

Then his eyes are drawn upwards as are mine. "There he is!" All I can see is a bit of pale skin and some intense blue eyes looking down at us from the night sky. I smell vampire. I know most of the demons around here and I don't recognise this one.

We both send a bolt of power his way only to hear laughter and then a bright flash. He is gone. "Fuck!"

I look down at my side and see blood oozing down where the bastard has stabbed me and now I look at it the pain sets in. "When I catch whoever the fuck that was I am gonna hurt him bad."

I heal myself then we head on down as we here sirens wailing in the distance. I'm sure Anderson is on his way to the scene if not already here.
