Zero to catperson in 60 minutes
I have adopted two (count 'em) two cats from the humane society. They were kind of a matched set, having been returned to the HS from a family whose home had been foreclosed on. They were originally adopted from the HS at the same time as kittens.
(BTW, the HS web site kind of makes me cry a little because the dog in the "Your best friend shouldn't have to beg" graphic reminds me of my old dog Roshi.)
Anyway, the cats are still a bit skittish, I just brought them home about 3 hours ago but they're starting to warm up to the place. Soon I shall be insufferable, posting cute kitty photos on my facebook page and expecting everyone to go "Awwwwwwww."
