While it's true. we in the U.S. own more guns than anybody because we are a free people, we are NOT as bloodthirsty and other countries.
A United Nations 2010 chart lists the U.S. as having a murder rate of 5.22 per 100,000 people. The world average homicide rate: 9.63 per 100,000. And 89 countries have higher murder rates than the U.S. One reason ours IS lower is we OWN more guns, hence we aren't as defenseless. And most of those countries on the chart it's rare to impossible to legally own a firearm. So yes, gun murders would look higher naturally. But when you factor in all weapons it's a very different picture.
