Muddled Brain
This is sort of odd.
I'm awake now. Even though I could barely go to sleep at 4 this morning.
I woke up hungry and thinking of knitting needles (actually I think I was all night long). That's what I get for going online before bedtime.
What's truly odd is I couldn't go back to sleep because... well, there's a morning waterside concert going on. Right now, I'm hearing a live band perform Bobby Darin's Beyond the Sea. Earlier I heard flute music. Some jazzy stuff. Even the Kamehameha waltz. Friggin' nuts. I think this is all going on at the back of the preschool... under the big tree I can see from my balcony. I wish I could see more. But it sounds like they've got a full band set up back there. Tubas, drums, horns... I'm thinking no strings though.
Okay, this wouldn't be enough to keep me from going back to sleep... except every once in awhile the music is punctuated by the head splitting dissonance of the fire alarms in this building being tested!
