Hmm, I do appear to be deaded.
Just got back from Canada today, which was most most awesome. Been and visited hot springs, a cabyon and dinosaur museum, went to, at least the majority of, world fantasy convention, poked around Calgary and geeked with folk, met some new and wholey awesome people and generally had a great half term. I am now not really feeling like I want to go back to work again tomorrow, and may well be suffering from jetlag of doom. But what they hey, I've warned my colegues that this may be so, and thus am allowed to fall asleep in the lab, right?
The other reason I am somewhat deaded is that, it being November, I have once again decided to participate in NaNoWriMo, for I am a fool like that. A nine hour flight is a good thing to help one writing, however. Unfortunately, the fact that it meant I was writing it all longhand with no computer and having to copy it up was less than good, as well as the fact thaty due to time differences I've ended up looing seven hours of my weekend is less than good.
For those who are interested, I shall be continuing my project from last year, which reached just over 50,000 words by the end of the month. Therefore I am going to be working on trying to get up to 100,000 by the end of this one. I am so far of 53,903, so am actually on scedule. Let's see how well this lasts, as I'm actually working full time this year with no computer in my lab, unlike last year sadly. We shall see, and I shall keep folk posted. Also be warned I may end up randomly waffling about Canada at people if they're not careful sometimes.
