Does anyone have...

Any music that is inspired by machenes, of any kind. I'm not looking for lyrics about machenes, I should point out, but the music itself.

Let me explain...

Mum has to do music for the year sevens this year, and the guidelines that she has been given by the borough are somewhat... unhelpful. After about an hour or so last night, me and dad managed to work out that what the aim of the module is, is for the class to compose a peice of music, with machenes as their inspiration, much like you have the seasons being the inspiration for the, erm, Seasons...

Unfortunately, those handy helpful people at Harrow Borough have not though it fitting to provide any sort of examples, or tracks of music so, as you can imagine, we are a little bit stumped... So, I am wondering if any nice people on here know of anything, and can hopefully send a music file to us or, failing that, tell us where we can obtain said music.

A couple of examples, to show the sort of thing we are looking for (only a few as we can't really think of all that many...)

Disc, by Phil Allcock (on Phil, Philk and Philched). Yes, I realise that this has words too, but it has a long instrumental in it that can well work for what we are looking for. We already have this one.
Several Lonnie Dinnigan ones, apparantly inspired by trains and suchlike. I don't know of any names, but Dad does. We though we had some of these, but when we looked last night we couldn't find it.
What was the name of the overseas guest at 1812? At one point he sung a song that reminded me of trains, though I forget exactly what it was about, the only thing that I can remember was that Tim Walker was doing the train sounds on the snare for it. (we don't have this one at all, sadly)

Any other things that you can think of would be muchly appreciated. Any machenes at all, and preferably varied. Can you help?

Peter
