Right. So, now that I've had a good and epic freak out rant, let's get back to your regularly scheduled programming. No, not the radio silence! :|
SO, GUYS. I haven't actually been keeping up with my flist, because I fail. YOUR MISSION, IF YOU CHOOSE TO ACCEPT IT: update me on what I've missed! This means: links to LJ posts, or fun pictures/videos/links, or tagging me for memes, or ANYTHING. *pokes at you allllll*
Fun links! If you frequent crackchat, I'll apologize in advance, as most of what I accumulate comes from there these days. Again, abusing the flist!

New Release:
Fritz Lang's The Complete MetropolisWhen it was first screened in Berlin on January 10, 1927, the sci-fi epic ran an estimated 153 minutes. After its premiere engagement, in an effort to maximize the film's commercial potential, the film's distributors (Ufa in Germany, Paramount in the U.S.) drastically shortened METROPOLIS. By the time it debuted in the states, the film ran approximately 90 minutes (exact running times are difficult to determine because silent films were not always projected at a standardized speed).
Even in its truncated form, METROPOLIS went on to become one of the cornerstones of fantastic cinema. Testament to its enduring popularity, the film has undergone numerous restorations in the intervening decades. Read more
here I am seriously tempted to go to one of the screenings in either Georgia or Texas. *debates visiting sister's family* Trailer can also be seen
