At long last my computer is in the shop. And I know I needed to get the screen...and the hard drive...and the keyboard...and the mic jack fixed, but it also means that I am cut off from all my music software for a month. and that makes me REALLY sad. Grrr. Especially since just this week I got a decent knob-covered MIDI controler and a multitrack audio interface so I could start recording some real industrial rock at long last. Grrrrrr. I guess I'll be practicing the guitar a whole lot more. Which is good, I guess.

NYC was fun - Did a bunch of goth clubbing and went to a bangin' fetish ball on friday in a church. Saw Mirrormask earlier in the week, and something about it convinced me to finally shave off the mohawk. I don't think it was anything about the film itself, but rather the mood it put me in after seeing it. I went home and grabbed my clippers and hacked it off. I now look like Lex Luther and have the urge to run around screaming "damn you Superman!" Anyway, I like the way it looks and will keep my dome for a while I think.
My only regret is that I would have liked to hang out with Alison, Killian and Eva more. Especially Eva, who I hadn't met before and is unbelievably fun to hang out with. On the upside, I got to hang out with Anne and Dani and Rachel a whole bunch, which was a nice change from no contact whatsoever (sadly, I ran out of time before I could have paid Lev a visit). Now I must finish packing and be on the road by 5:45 tomorrow morning. So if I'm lucky, I'll get 3.5 hours sleep before a full day's worth of classes tomorrow. YAY. Grrr.
