Work Christmas Do on wednesday night was good fun, would have been better had Erika been well enough to attend, but I still had fun without her. You don't expect to come home from a Christmas do with more money than you went out with, but this year we went to the Harlow Greyhound Track. Our Anual £30 per person Christmas allowance entitled us to dinner and £5 worth of betting money, but because half my collegues didn't show up for one reason or another, they ended up giving us £10.
I won 5 Races by the end totaling over £23. I won 3 races and £15 with the tenner they gave me, then I spent about 6 of that and won a further £8 but spent some of that on the last few races and didn't win anything. In the end I came home at least a Tenner richer. :D
I drank a little too much free wine though, seing as I've barely touched a drop of sauce in the past few months it went straight to my head. *UB40 suddenly starts playing in his head*
Sorry I wasn't at the pub on Thursday, the wife was unwell and I thought I'd stay home and keep her company, also I was a little hungover... :P
Oooooh in other news, I applied a few weeks back for an Engineering Technical Operator job working for Glaxos rather than the agency that I currently work for. I had to take a further two aptitude tests on Wednesday to get to the next stage of the application. I got the results today: Fault Finding: 4/5 and Spatial Awareness: 5/5
So I'm through! I've got an interview some time in January. ^_^
