I played DDR for the first time yesterday with The Boys and Sam. We had a great time yesterday - went out to the city to see Speed Racer on the IMAX at the Metreon. That movie was AMAZING!! We sat about 5 rows up from the front, so our entire line of sight was just filled with the screen. The visuals in that movie were stunning, and really evoked the anime influence of the original show without being too obvious. The acting was a little corny, but it only added to the entire anime feeling. Whether you like car racing or not, you just have to see this film. What got me is that the cars almost never went -straight-. XD

Went to Tilt arcade and placed 3rd in Final Furlong (I haven't played that game in ages!), and I tried DDR for the very first time. Needless to say, it actually scared me a little. I think I really have a problem with syncing up my brain and my feet. I FAILED. It makes me worry about the future of my ballet hobby. Choreography seems to be so much harder for me then other people.

This outing really made me appreciate my friends. My friends who realize that you don't need alcohol to have a good time. There was an opportunity to drink, but we stood together and said 'No'.
We have such confidence, us drama kids. A confidence so great and powerful that it really intimidates those who have so little in their life to live for. We don't need substances to have fun or relax, and the fun we have is old fashioned and fun. It's almost like therapy - I laugh and smile so much with them, and I'm sure it does much to rebuild my spirit.
