10,000 hours to success
Hello, Livejournal!
I have a blog! Did I ever mention that? I have had many blogs, I know. This is my new one. I am building it as a platform for writing, and occasionally I will chat about political things.
Anyways, I got my first official rejection letter last week, for a short story I had submitted. It was most woeful. (Woe). However, I prefer to look at it as an opportunity to expand my horizon. So, using the 10,000 hour theory (basically, it takes 10,000 hours of practice at something to become a real expert) I set myself a goal of 10,000 hours. I credited myself for some of my previous works, including the few CRFH and FLEET fanfics I was able to dig up, but I still have almost 8600 hours to go. The actual count is up in my blog.
Anyways, I have shared! And I did not let it go another six months since my last LJ post. Go me!
