Rough Days Ahead

Halloween was always our favorite holiday. This was true for the both of us before we even met. A year ago, we were spending $50-$100 a week on decorations, trinkets and candy. The neighbors have a few decorations from the store, and a few made by the kids. I still have last year's decorations out, never taken down. Well, what didn't disintegrate in a year's worth of weather anyway.

Halloween will come and go. But without enough money to put gas in the car to even go look for work, it's looking even more dismal in this little corner of the world than the rest of the pathetic excuse for an economy.
