I woke up the other evening, I opened my front door to let the dogs out, and my gate was wide open! Normally, I keep the gate "fake-locked". I have a chain that goes around the gate, and a padlock, but I rarely push the lock shut. It's a pain in the ass to take my keys out every time I want to go in our out of the gate, and it's usually plenty

The card is dated 5/12, and I made the phone call and talked to the officer on 5/13 when she said a week. So I'm thinking 5/20. Only today and Monday with no rain, according to the forecast. I'll have "progress" before then though. Of course, now the inside of the house is on it's way to hell because I'm working outside. I don't live outside. My laundry, my dishes, the garbage can that the dogs keep knocking over, the dog hair and sometimes mud on the couch, that's all inside. Oh, and btw, thank you :)

I'm sure it was somebody who was inside the house. The bitch officer wanted to know all the animals in the house, and asked about a couple of them that haven't been outside since the last warm day of fall. Even when we took some of the animals out to magoos or to hang out at Kroger, the people we met didn't know our address.
The neighbors are sure they can get a new gas mower for about $129. If I had the funds, I'd just chip in, since I borrow it often enough. Actually, if I had enough funds, I'd just buy the thing myself for that money, and store it at their house, and let them pitch in their share when they could.
Storing something else inside the house... Hahahahaha lmao! This two bedroom house is tiny! My vacuum cleaner stands up against the wall in the bedroom under the light switch because I don't have anywhere else to put it. Maybe one day, when I'm done going through all her things, there will be more room. Although come to think of it, if gas keeps going up, I may just do that anyways.

Thanks :) The worst part from them is that it has nothing to do with the health of the animals. I know the yard looks bad, but I don't live in my yard - I've been trying to clean up the inside of the house. One of these days, when I have the energy and time, I will file harassment charges, also hoping that in doing so they will have to disclose who filed the charge. I have to file against someone. The officer wouldn't tell me who filed the complaint, but she was certain it was someone who had been inside the house. Whatever happened to the right to face my accusers? Well, it's not like we have a constitution left anyway in this country. I will also be filing complaint charges against animal control, if I can figure out where to do that. I know a mayor runs a city and a governor runs the state, but who runs the county?

The gate has been fake-locked when I'm home. I used to have the luxury of leaving the front door unlocked, but that's because my wife hardly ever left the house, and even if the car was gone chances are she was still home, and nobody could tell without actually knocking on the door. Since she's been gone though, the front door is locked when I'm gone, as well as the gate. Nobody has been inside the house that hasn't been invited. And yeah, I have to padlock the gate shut when I'm home now.

She was asking about animals that can't even be seen through the window. Also, in this neighborhood (LOL) I could imagine that someone might come in and not carry away the heavy computer or 20" LCD monitor, but not the expensive video ipod or digital camera which can easily be carried in a pocket. Who would break into my home when I'm not here, look around, then file a complaint with animal control? Nah, too weird.
