The dryer at this place is the biggest piece of shit ever created. If it's not broken down, forcing us to run to the next building to dry our clothes, it's stealing quarters. A person would think that adding more quarters to a running coin-op dryer would add more time, but this dryer must've been created before that now-world-famous lemur died. Putting money into it while it's running SHUTS IT OFF?!?! And then you can't start it back up again until the original time runs out?! WTF?! The people we rent from have to have their fingers in at least 80% of the apartments in this town and they can't afford to get a working clothes dryer. And they're dicking us over so hard on the whole making us move to the next building in August thing. Oh well, I'll stop whining and just wait for the stupid towels to dry :(
I have a big photography assignment coming up. Raw photos are due on tuesday. It's pretty simple in concept. We have to show words that the teacher picked out through photography. It sounds pretty fun, but the words he picked are so cheesy that it's more of a hassle than anything else. We have to depict two emotions in each photograph for a total of four final pieces. The emotions are:
Fear/Courage
Love/Hate
Joy/Sorrow
Excited/Tired
I'm going to be fitted for a tux on Saturday for some friends' wedding, and I was thinking of using those two for some of the shots. I've used them both before for my nod to "The Graduate" in an earlier class, and I think they had fun, and since this weekend seems like it's going to be an unorganized clusterfuck anyway, I'm sure there will be plenty of emotion to go around.
I mean I asked the bride for a little bit more detail on what she had planned and her reply back was more vague than what she had already told me.
I think I'll be posting my finished assignments here, though. There's this gigantic train bridge in the town where we're going and even though I may not use it for my class, I can't resist taking pictures. I mean this thing is huge for such a small town!
Well I know I'm all over the place, but waiting on clothes to dry is BORING, and Breanna already went to bed, so I'm stuck for the next hour or so with nothing to do. I think I'm online too much :(
