holiday weekend hell
The cable office disconnected me AGAIN even though I paid them $200 last week to keep it on for at least a month then they decide that I still owe an extra $168 on top of this month's bill. they can't find why I owe it anywhere in the records but decided I need to pay it anywho just because it's there, then my land lord's wife who claims she has nothing to do w/ the rental properties comes over and threatens to lock me out of my place tomorrow if I don't pay rent, but refuses to accept the rent check. complains there's no lease but refuses to give me a lease.
Of course this happens on a HOLIDAY weekend AFTER all the lawyer offices have closed until Wednesday. The best thing is that I thought to call the police and they told me it's not legal (which I found online, too) and that if / when he locks me out just to call the police and they'll force him to let me back in or get arrested over it and I found out online that I can take it to a judge and make him turn the A/C back on, but that could take up to 2 weeks.
