there is no such thing as theoretical analytical chemistry.
So when I was taking the exam today and I came up with an answer of 2127 ppm, I knew I had done something wrong. An analytical chemist would not write a question with such an answer. So I checked my math, and got 21.3 ppm.
However, I did have to improvise on one of the questions and wrote "both the anylate and titrant must be in the aqueous phase" as one of the requirements for a good titration. This is entirely true, however I don't think it is something he mentioned in class.
My bullshitting abilities will get me nowhere in this class. But knowing that I will not be bullshitted is certainly a benefit. Sort of like playing against a
calling station in poker. And I know how to do that.
All in all, I will be very surprised if I end up with anything less than a 95 on this test.
