It probably won't surprise you to hear that while I disagree with the idea that McCain was ever anything other than a party hack, I agree with everything else in the letter ... and sincerely wish you hadn't had to write it. Good job, sir.

I don't mean any disrespect by this, but I sure wish we lived in a world where we could disagree more often. It seems like such a world would be a bit more safe and normal and all those sorts of things.

Agreed. Roosevelt and Churchill would have been opponents in sane times, but ... well, you know.
