Just watched a couple trailers, named Battle for LA and Cowboys Vs Aliens. I'll post a link here in a sec. The premise is basically the same, aliens/or robots come in and fuck shit up. The message came in clear all of a sudden.
Do you think this says anything about us as a viewing audience? How popular are these post-apocalyptic movies nowadays? They're everywhere. Why do we have such an interest in ourselves getting smashed by the bigger kid on the playground? Maybe its cathartic, since we have done so much ourselves as a country in the last decade? Ideas become reality through popular opinion.
Anyway, whatever. It just seemed like we're awful hungry for our own destruction in the movie theatres as of late. Got to eat at bubbas restaurant in matlacha tonight and had the cowboy steak, its a whoppin' 24 oz ribeye, man was it good! Shere' and I went on a drive through the town afterwards, just to look things over, had a nice time.
