So Wal-mart lacked any form of reasonably-priced .45 ammo, forcing me to settle for a 100-round box of Winchester 9mm FMJ. I guess I'm going to shoot the Elite this weekend instead of the CQB. All Wal-Mart had was 50-round boxes of some crazy Winchester stuff called BEB ammo. Looked like a truncated-cone mated with a softpoint. $17 per box of 50, compared to $20 per box of 50 for Winchester 230-gr JHP's, and $12 per box of 100 for 9x19mm FMJ. Simple economics, what a shame. I need to win the lottery or something so I can afford large amounts of weaponry and ammunition with which to amuse myself at the range. Hell, while I'm wishing, I'd like to have about 50 acres of nice desert/mountain land on which to build a hunting cabin and shooting range.
