NEWS!!!!!
I am sitting in my cubicle at work writing part of this, I'll probably finish it at home, but for now, this will do. I have decided to update my life, what it is about and who is involved in it. Which I haven't done.
Current news: Several current events in my life which I will share the details about
1. I bought a house! It started all of a sudden (and not with a shiny demon in the middle of the road) after the failure of the launch in February. I had been thinking about it, but didn't know what I'd be doing. I was in renters hell since my rent had gone up by enough of an uncomfortable amount that saving was going to become difficult, so I thought that the time was right and got a realtor. We looked and finally found one in my price range which was decent (I won't be saving now, but I also am getting equity, so it is a fair trade). The house is in Centreville, which for those of you unfamiliar with this area, is directly south of the airport by about 10 miles. I moved in on the 21st of June and it has been bliss ever since. Schnookie has begun to grow to the place however after two years in an apartment, there has been some adjustment. My circuit breaker has had one issue, but that has been the only real problem so far. I am waiting for my couch now.
2. On the 26th of May, I went to the doctor for a physical. I had a cholesterol level of 230 and my weight was 246. I was in bad shape my friends. I knew at that moment I needed to lower my cholesterol and change my diet, in addition to upping my exercise routine. Well, I weighed in tonight at 222. I was ecstatic! I have lost 24 lbs, which is about half of my goal to lose 51, get down to 195, which would be the lowest I have ever been since middle school. I think that appointment opened my eyes that I needed to change. The biggest thing for me has been two things, eating more vegetables and cutting out regular soda (although I could kill for a regular Coke most days). I still need to go back to the doctor in about a month and a half for a cholesterol test, but other than that, I think things are going swimmingly. My mother is uber jealous
Recent events:
The fourth: For this fourth of July, I got to chill at Kemp and Karen's house with their friends and her parents and brother. It was an awesome time had by all, with food and scones! At three the festivities began, with appetizers and good food. We played Settlers and saw fireworks (the first time for me in a while. I haven't gone to see them in so long). Good times, although, trying to get ice cream was a nightmare of sorts (is this open, is that, can we get there, BLOCKADE!!!).
Upcoming: Lawrence of Arabia at the Silver! Also, I might see Kambakkht Ishq, but it has gotten bad reviews.
