I was too tired to stay up and watch the debate last night...did I miss anything particularly amusing?

Not really. Palin talked about a whole lot of nothing. I wish Biden would have buried her but I guess he was told not to.

Palin was such a damn idiot that my brain involuntarily tuned her out half the time. The moderator had to remind her at least a couple of times to answer the question. Biden, as expected, showed that he is both intelligent and a capable debater, and he made a fantastic statement on Dick Cheney being the most dangerous VP ever near the end.

...Yet the talking heads afterwards STILL wanted to act like Palin didn't come off as a clueless moron. (Not like that's unexpected, but it still baffles me.)

Oh, it was way more interesting to watch than the first presidential debate the week before. You can probably watch it on youtube or something. They both did better than I was expecting. Biden was direct, informative, charismatic, and passionate, fudging only a few facts. Palin launched a few zingers, but was mostly incredibly vague and often incoherent. And she almost never answered the questions posed to her.
