Smothered Hope in DC.....
So....
I arrived in DC on Tues 'round 1300-ish & moonfl0wer arrived soonafter w/ throckwoddle and fuzz_3 in tow; we headed into DC to see the WWII Memorial - which was very amazing - and on the way I broke my glasses, ate a "Veggie pocket" sandwich that imploded on me, forgot my camera, and got rained on by jungle-like torrential rain....
and then the fun began....
we intercepted the rest of our clan (morbid_o, citycrystal, zooluorb, boomtownrat, and mrs_esterhaus) and as they journeyed for Thai food, Sami took a teeny nap & I introduced Tristan to the Class VI on Ft Belvoir - back to the hotel for cocktails & we were off to 930 Club by 7 -ish
Had a bit of an adventure getting to and from the 930 Club, but it was o-so-much worth it...
1st act was Otto-Van-something & he did power noise shite that was actually quite good...for like 10 minutes
Chris Vrenna (NIN guitarist) & his band Tweaker was next - not too bad, but as Kalyx often said to me, " HURRY UP WE WANT NIVEK!!!"
Sami & I staked our piece of real estate - which we were to defend at all costs - and Tristan made trips to the bar and subsequently the "lil boys room" - but he fought his way back each time...bravo, my man...
And then it began....
Visuals, lights, beautiful, dark evil sounds....and Ogre.....

AND - a highlight was watching Sami almost kick the shit out of this little girl pushing into her.....girlfights are..like...cool....
