Remember that Specials song? well I went to Deep Ellum New Years eve to See Ghoultown. There was hardly anyone there. I remember New Years eve 1999/2000 there were people everywhere. I also found out The New Years Eve show was the Last show at Club Clearview since it is closing down. I had so many fond memories of all the bands I saw there. I like the fact that the bands hey booked were not the same yuppie crap most of the other clubs were booking. They took a chance on unique bands and other entertainment. The same people who own Clearview also own the Curtain Club, but I never cared for the Curtain Club. I never really like the bands they booked. Well at least I have Double-wide. Ghoultown is suppose to be playing there February 17. Bar of Soap was cool until the New Amsterdam I thing it was took over their back patio stage. Now all they have is a little stage in the back near the laundry machines. So sing it with we "Deep Ellums commin like a Ghost Town All the clubs have been closed down" "Deep Ellums commin like a Ghost Town Bands won't play no more" we they would if there was somewhere to play. Thats all of my rant today!
