Total Ownage
Finally saw Iron Man the other day, and indeed, INDEED this one lived up to all the hype. Sequels are already on their way, and Marvel's finally paved the way for a BITCHLOAD of awesome later on (you need to catch the references and watch after the end creds).
Predictably, the silver screen and modern tech has turned the humble beginnings of this:

But beyond the comic history and CGI, the cast does an excellent job of capturing character development, juxtaposing several different personal struggles and balancing drama vs comic relief VERY well.
