Twenty Years
I got a notification that I've been on this site for 20 years, today.
It has been a long, strange journey.
In this latest leg, after much belly-aching and worry, I have now secured housing and a student teaching position in Niagara Falls. I'll be working with the extensive Theatre program at Niagara Falls High School - a sprawling, relatively new facility with a 1600-seat theatre space. I've also secured a minimally-furnished townhouse for the semester, meaning I'll have two floors and three bedrooms. All to myself. It's been over a decade since I've lived alone and this is going to be an intense adjustment period as I truly get a taste of starting over.
I can only hope that this student teaching placement will lead to the sustainable job that I want. It has been a long eight years in my own personal Purgatory and I'm looking forward to finally moving on.
