Lily Allen. Absolutely loved her first album, with her attitude and spunk, variety of beats and tunes, all in all a really fun listen. Second album though, she's changed a fair bit. Fuck You has the old fun, but pretty much everything else feels pretty so-so. So unfortunate.
Empire Of The Sun. Brilliant album. Pretty much every song either has me dancing, or at least bobbing/clicking/tapping along to it. Really gives me a buzz. Though I hope there's still to be more work out of The Sleepy Jackson and Pnau.
Trentemøller. Wow. Just wow. Listening to Vamp whilst trying to do some tiling resulted in no tiling being done, instead frantic air-guitaring, trying to mimic the fat rolling bassline (And how! If I heard more music making such use of a bass guitar like that, I'd be a happy happy man). I intend to put that on when I go to test drive the car that I dearly want (But dearly cannot afford). And of course, the rest of his music is fantastic. The version of Moan on Chronicles hits a soft spot, and the rest of his soundscapes just make me want to sit back and lose myself in the simple visualisation I always use on XBMC.
I look forwards eagerly for The Kills Midnight Boom album to get off backorder and get it's arse into my sweaty little hands. Since turning on Rage drunkenly, to have Black Balloon really hit a nerve, I've been drooling.
When my friend moves in, and we start kicking some of our projects into gear, my Music Shelf is definitely high up on the list.
