My mind is in an odd place. It's not good times. It's also hard to explain. It's a combination of frustration, depression, loneliness, and being really freaking cold.

Oh man, I'm sorry you're having to deal with this sort of crap. I know how frustrating being cold all the time is. :(

I and several of my coworkers have been dealing with serious cold issues at work (it's regularly in the 60's in the late afternoon/evening and we have to sit still at our desks most of the time) and we've come up with a few things that help. Try getting fingerless gloves and wool socks. Yea, it sounds dumb, but it helped me tremendously for a while. Try using a lap blanket when you're not in bed. If that fails, try getting a heated lap blanket. It doesn't take as much power as a space heater but it puts all the heat exactly where you need it. Try drinking more hot beverages. It's insane how much hot tea (herbal for me) can warm up your outlook on life. Try to eat a bit more and get more exercise. Your body needs more fuel to stay warm and the encouragement of exercise to kick your metabolism up.

I'm sorry I can't help more. My next idea involves hanging heavy curtains over the windows and walls (same theory as tapestries in castles), which would require a lot of fabric. You know at that point you might as well also make yourself a set of curtains to go around your bed. Hell, I have a ridiculous pile of fabric, let me know if you want to go that route and I'll dig something up. (I think there's still 27 yards of flannel curtain lining cut in 3 yard chunks in my room somewhere... and like 10 more yards of red cotton flannel, gah... we could practically make you a cocoon.)
