This question has been posed several times lately. Glaekin (I am sure I am spelling that wrong) happens to have had the guild leadership thrust upon him and is the first person who does not ask it out of anger, but out of earnest concern. The drama seems to have ended for now. Lets focus on what we can do to make things a little better and keep them fun for everyone.
I've talked to a few people and talked things over with others and come up with a few ideas and things we should think about doing.
1. End the concept that the guild is for 'LJ' only people. The 'drama' and the way it was aired has effectively ended the thought of most people from LJ joining this guild anymore. It will never grow and never have any new blood then. People should be able to invite friends and comarades into the guild. If you play with someone consistently evne on an alt and find they aren't a retard or loot monger, sometimes you want to innvite them in, but that rule has made it quite impossible in the past. Not budging on this I think will finally kill the guild at this point. Yes people would have to be responsible for those they invite, but that's the risk of any guild.
2. LJ will probably never be a 'high-end raiding' guild. Get used to the idea that those with the time when they hit 60 will want to leave. those of us who do not have the 5 hours every weeknight will probably never leave. Don't make a big deal out of it when someone does and don't make a huge deal out of it when you do. Someone who was trully part of this guild will only leave in Tag only.
3. Communicate with each other. Its supposed to be a relaxed guild. This is a game. Let's actually have fun at it. If you are feeling like its work. STOP. take a step back.
4. I''d really like to see at least once a month a gathering of the guild people. Show off our armors, show people areas they coudlnt' get into yet, raid a small horde town, something. Relax and enjoy the social aspect more of the game.
Uhm.. that's just some of the stuff off the top of my head. Wanted to hear what the actual guild members have to think.
