In honor of Zanther
6 months ago yesterday Zanther left the mortal world behind. We morn the loss of him, but have many more fond memories of him.
He was very a friendly and affectionate cat who was extremely intelligent and in tune with his friends. He knew when you needed him and when you didn't want him around. Doors did not pose much of an obstacle for him, and he'd occasionally grab and hold pencils from your hands. He would sleep at the head of the bed in summer and we could tell it was finally moving into winter when he migrated to the foot of the bed for better warmth.
He had an amazing sense of balance and could sit on the top edge of doors, dance lightly along railings and make horizontal jumps of over 6 feet from from a stationary position.
He was a good friend and a good companion.
We miss him.
