S Dear Readers
I have had an amazing year so far, what with touring, working in Germany, playing in Aspen, and becoming part of national moral panic. Sooner or a later I will slap stuff about all these adventures, with photos, on the site stewartlee.co.uk., but at the moment I am touring until June, so you will have to imagine my crying face for yourselves.
In the meantime, on behalf of myself and Richard Thomas, thanks to everyone who sent us messages of support during the Jerry Springer Opera shitstorm, which quite frankly has been profoundly depressing and financially debilitating.
Also, thanks to everyone who has come to dates on my little tour so far. I booked mainly into 100-200 seater rooms, not expecting anyone to come, and the response has been fantastic. I’ll be touring a new show this Autumn in some bigger spaces, where it won’t be as good. I was a bit crap in Reading so sorry to anyone who was there. Otherwise, it has been ace. And I am sure you have all enjoyed the talents of my support act, the infant prodigy Josie Long.
I am filming the show in Glasgow on March 10th at The Stand, before laying it to rest. There will be 2 shows that night I think. It will be out in the Autumn on DVD.
So, there’s still 2 weeks of tour dates left, followed by months of antipodean work, and then new material warm-up’s for Edinburgh 2005 in various London clubs through June and July.
Finally, I left my diary in a New York hotel room last month, and so lost all my dates. If you are a promoter and you think you’ve booked me in June or July and it ain’t on the list below, please contact me and tell me about it via the email address on the website.
