OOC: Name Charts
Some time ago I made a chart listing the various names of the first couple of generations of Finwë's family.
Not long ago EU!Rúmil's mun said a similar chart of the Valar, their jobs and their family relatiionships would be a good thing too so here I am posting both charts.
(Quenya Names)
* Not many of the various children have mothernames that I could find, Fëanor's family having the most information on them.
* Also, if you look, Fingolfin and Finarfin had two sisters, Findis and Irimë. From what I have found out Findis stayed in Valinor with her mother, Indis, while Irimë went with Fingolfin. Beyond that I do not know what happened to Irimë.
* I have run into some conflicting information about which name is which for Gil-Galad - whether Ereinion was his mothername or an epssë (an honourary title). I am currently going with the idea that it was his mothername and "Gil-Galad" was the epssë.
* All names in bold print are what they are most well-known as, those that are underlined are Finwë's sons therefore fathers of the major groups listed.
* Celebrimbor was Curufin's son, Maeglin was Aredhel's son, Gil-Galad is Fingon's son according to the Silmarillion and this game (apparently Chris Tolkien got it wrong when he composed the Silm and the correct parentage is that Orodreth was suposed to be Angrod's son and both Gil-Galad and Findulias Orodreth's children).

* Not many have alternate names that I could find but those I did I have given.
